 2008 Election Calendar Dates related to the Primary Election - August 5, 2008 April 1 - August 1: Advance Voter Applications may be filed for ballots to be mailed. June 10, Noon: Closing date for filing or withdrawal of candidates. July 21: Last day of Voter Registration prior to the primary election. August 1: Deadline for voters to apply for Advance Voting Ballots to be mailed. August 4, Noon: End of Walk-In Advance Voting in the County Clerk's Office. August 5: Primary Election - Polls open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Dates related to the General Election - November 4, 2008 August 6: Voter Registration Books reopen. August 6 - October 31: Advance Voter Applications may be filed for ballots to be mailed. October 20: Last day of Voter Registration prior to the general election.
